My loving thoughts and fond memories of Uncle Tom are too many to mention. He was my Father's (Dick's) identical twin brother, Tom being the older by 20 minutes. I am not sure who found it more pleasing Daddy claiming to be the more youthful of the twins or Uncle Tom commanding the elder more wiser sibling role. Growing up in Windsor, Uncle Tom and Father were always busy with various projects, which kept them out of mischief (most of the time). Whatever they were working on they did with the upmost commitment and dedication and I always admired the sacrifices they made for the good of the community. Uncle Tom and Daddy spoke everyday and I took on a secretary role for Father, taking many messages from Uncle Tom when he could not get hold of him and being chief in charge of letting him into his house after losing his keys. Uncle Tom had a wicked sense of humour and I will always cherish the good times and many laughs we shared together. I will miss him so very much but comforted to know that he and Daddy are back together and hopefully enjoying a whiskey somewhere and getting up to mischief. Lots of love Penny x x
