Toms Dad , Frederick William Morris Smith

Pictured in his Royal Marines Company Sargent Major uniform . He was 23 years with The Royal Marines and 25 years with the N.S.P.C.C . He was, for part of his service career , a school teacher in the Royal Marines . After a short training period in London , he came to Windsor as a local inspector for the N.S.P.C.C . During his career he helped some 11,000 children who were beaten or neglected.
